About
Career Transition to Insurance
I started at Steele Insurance Agency in January 2016, taking a leap of faith from the golf industry into a field I knew little about. Surrounded by close friends, this turned out to be the best career move I could have ever made! Now, I manage over 750 clients and work with an incredible team.
Client Interaction Preferences
I prefer doing business face-to-face and try to meet as many clients as possible. Recognizing the challenge this might pose, I'm also comfortable with phone calls or Skype sessions. Email and text can sometimes complicate things, especially with the intricate details of insurance. It's vital that clients fully understand their policies, and personal interaction helps ensure everyone is on the same page.
Policy Reviews and Client Communication
Conducting annual reviews is crucial as life constantly changes and policies need updating. At the end of each year, I send personalized emails to clients outlining their current policies and insurers. This happens just before January 1st. Referrals are a significant part of my success. Whenever I receive a referral, I express my gratitude with a thank you card or email, and a personal phone call to the client.
Leveraging Golf in Business and Personal Life
Before insurance, I was a PGA Golf Professional. Now, I use golf as a business tool, often inviting clients to play. Aside from work, I enjoy traveling, beach days, playing tennis, and exploring new hiking trails.
